Christian people were emotional with the arrival of the Pope in the Sanctuary of Aparecida. Christian people from the whole Brazil are delighted with Pope Benedict XVI. They said that the Pope shows to be fraternal and very docile. The opinion of the press consolidated an unreal image of the pope is unanimous between those who could meet nearby the Holy Priest and hear his message, directed to every catholic of Brazil, of the Latin America and of the Caribbean.

Bruna Melo, from Paraná, relates the joy to meet with the Pope Benedict XVI: “the media passes a different image of the Pope. They thought that he was serious, rigorous, but he shows to be calm, docile and very hospitable. I have another vision of this Pope; I can tell that I passed to have a big love for him.

The couple of boyfriends Denise and Dorival, from São Paulo, witnessed that with the coming of the Pope in Brazil sharpened on them a big desire to live the chastity and to seek holiness. “The Pope stimulate us to have a straight life like a catholic couple”, says Dorival. The Pope Benedict XVI stimulates us to raise the holiness flag. We are excited and happy with his smile. I saw him, from the TV, always waving to the people, showing that he is hospitable and very different than I thought”.

Roberta also brings home a new vision of Benedict XVI. "I came from Santa Catarina specially to see the Pope, and here today, in the middle of this crowd I notice that our Church has unity. Which authority is capable to unite this entire crowd? The faith that exists in Brazil is very big. I also see that the Pope exceeded in everything the expectation of the people, because he had a big love for John Paul II and with the change of the Pope I didn’t like, but he is showing that is more than everyone was expecting".

Geraldo, that came with his whole family, says that the emotion to be able to participate of the mass with his whole family is big. "I am with my heart accelerated. It brings a lot of peace. The Holy Priest is the greatest example for us. He left in my heart the seed to persevere with my family in the faith.
